Samsung To Release Own AI Assistant

 

During an interview with Reuters, Samsung confirmed that they are going to release their very own AI assistance starting with the upcoming Galaxy S8, the company’s mobile flagship series.

Rumors about Samsung releasing AI assistance started when Sammobile, a site which broadcasts devices and other things relating to Samsung that they had filed patent for  a software called “Bixby” last October. Bixby is a software for computers that focuses on personal information management via voice system recognition which in turn, making the device a hands-free phone.

The company are yet to find the right software to use for their AI assistance feature and are currently opening themselves to third-party developers in hopes that it will make their upcoming feature to be more smarter and efficient, to adapt to new services and provide comfort and ease for their customers.

Also, Samsung made an announcement that it had obtained Viv Labs, some sort of AI startup which came out from Apple’s very own AI assistance, Siri. This is enough proof that Samsung are doing their best in terms of improving and making sure that this feature will be worth the wait and assuring us that nothing will go wrong.

It can be further noted that Samsung experienced hard times during the release of the Galaxy Note 7 and the primary safety issues circling around it. Samsung are hoping that with the future release of their Galaxy S8 phone and the AI assistance feature, they will win back the trust of their customers and patrons.
